3911.1: Employee Indemnification/Hold Harmless

As a part of their job duties, district employees may administer medication to students in accordance with Rule 59 of the Department of Education and the Medication Aide Act. This may include non-medical professionals.

Employees who administer medication within the scope of their employment in accordance with the Medication Aide Act are generally covered by the District’s liability insurance. To the extent an employee is not fully covered by insurance for all potential losses in this regard, the District will indemnify and hold the employee harmless from all claims brought against the employee related to his/her administration of medication to a student that is within the scope of his/her employment at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Public Schools.
