All administrative and supervisory positions in the school system are established initially by the Board, or by state law, or both.
The Superintendent is responsible for recommending to the Board a sufficient number of such positions to provide for the effective and efficient management of the school system.
In each case, the Board will approve the broad purpose and function of the position, in harmony with state law and regulations, and approve a written job description for the position.Ìý
The Superintendent will be responsible for developing and recommending to the Board all such job descriptions. ÌýTo facilitate an effective management system, the Superintendent will also continuously maintain a comprehensive, coordinated set of job descriptions for all administrative and supervisory positions.
